Random numbers you can trust
This generator uses JavaScript's built-in random function. It is fine for draws, giveaways, games and picking a winner, but it is not suitable for cryptography.
Unique versus repeatable
With the unique option on, no number is picked twice, which is what you want for lottery style draws. Turn it off if repeats are acceptable, such as simulating dice rolls.
Fair draws
For a public giveaway, announce the range and the number of winners before you draw, then run the generator live so everyone can see the result.
Frequently asked questions
Are the numbers truly random?
They are pseudo-random, which is more than enough for games and draws but not for security.
Can I pick multiple unique numbers?
Yes, set how many you need and keep the unique option checked.
What happens if I ask for more unique numbers than the range?
The tool warns you, because it is impossible to pick more unique values than exist in the range.
